Creating a High Value Market for Wood Waste.

H2N will build 4-8 wood waste pellet plants in Western Canada to feed our first H2N Hub, which means a significant injection of private sector investments in Canada’s forestry sector.

Our plan solves a number of other forest-sector challenges too:

  • Carbon generated from forestry wood waste is prevented from returning to the atmosphere by intervening and sequestering the carbon from waste such as rotting wood and slash pile burning.

  • By replanting with climate resilient species, H₂N is supporting the forest to be a carbon sink, not a carbon source.

  • Wildfire risks are reduced and a new market for forest fire impacted fibre is provided.

  • The Hub will create a higher value alternative market for Canada’s pulp; one that isn’t exposed to tariffs or freights.
